• IMPROVED OFFENSE
Over its last two contests, Texas has averaged 87.5 points per game while converting 52.7% FG (59-of-112), including a 41.7% mark from three-point range (15-of-36). The Horns also have recorded 32 assists against 23 turnovers in the span. UT hit a season-high 57.9% from the floor (33-of-57) and had five players in double-figure scoring during Saturday's win against West Virginia.
• DOMINATING IN THE PAINT
The Longhorns posted a +32 advantage in points in the paint (46-14) during Saturday's home victory against West Virginia. The 46 points in the paint and the +32 differential both tied season highs. UT also recorded a +15 rebound margin (41-26).
• FELIX ON A ROLL
Sophomore guard Javan Felix has averaged 22.5 points while converting 16-of-30 (.533) field goals, including 10-of-18 (.556) from three-point range, in 31.5 minutes per game during the last two contests. He posted 27 points (6-of-8 threes) in last Tuesday's win against Oklahoma State before recording a team-high 18 points in Saturday's victory against WVU.
TEXAS VS. IOWA STATE
• Tuesday's contest marks the 28th meeting between Texas and Iowa State. UT owns a 17-10 advantage in the all-time series which dates back to a 101-87 Iowa State win in Tempe, Ariz., on Dec. 21, 1966.
• The Longhorns are 15-5 against Iowa State during the Rick Barnes era entering Tuesday's game, including 11 wins in the last 13 overall games.
NIGHT AND DAY
Through 25 games last year, the Longhorns had posted an 11-14 overall record, including a 3-9 mark in Big 12 Conference play. This season, the Horns are off to a 20-5 start, including a 9-3 mark in league play.
BUILDING A SOLID RESUME
The Longhorns have posted a 5-2 record against AP Top 25 opponents this year. UT's resume includes road wins against No. 14 North Carolina (86-83) and No. 24 Baylor (74-60) and home victories against No. 8 Iowa State (86-76), No. 22 Kansas State (67-64) and No. 6 Kansas (81-69). Texas owns a 6-3 record in away/neutral-site games this season.

Texas is ranked No. 19 in the most recent Associated Press poll (Feb. 17) and No. 17 in the most recent USA Today Coaches poll (Feb. 17). During the Rick Barnes era, the Horns have spent 179 weeks in The AP Top 25, including 84 in the Top 10.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WINNING AND LOSING
In their three Big 12 Conference losses, the Longhorns allowed an average of 83.0 points per game on a combined 47.0% FG shooting (78-of-166), including a 43.6% mark from three-point range (24-of-55). In its nine league wins, Texas has allowed an average of 66.1 points per game on a combined 38.1% FG shooting (201-of-527), including a 29.2% mark from three-point range (54-of-185).
HORNS REACH 20-WIN MARK ... AGAIN
With UT's 88-71 home victory against West Virginia on Saturday, the Longhorns reached the 20-win mark for the 14th time in 16 seasons under coach Rick Barnes. UT had a school-record streak of 13 consecutive 20-win seasons snapped last year. Prior to that streak, the previous school mark for most consecutive 20-win seasons was four (1988-89 to 1991-92). The Longhorns have reached the 20-win plateau of total of 29 times in their 108 seasons of basketball.
CONSISTENT SUCCESS IN THE BIG 12
Texas has reached the 10-win mark in Big 12 Conference play a total of 10 times in the first 15 seasons under Rick Barnes (the first 13 years featured 16-game league schedules). The Horns have recorded at least nine league wins in all but one of Barnes' 15 seasons in Austin. UT has recorded at least 13 conference victories in six of Barnes' first 15 seasons in Austin (13-3 in 1998-99, 1999-2000, 2002-03, 2005-06, 2007-08 and 2010-11).
