Four-time Big 12 champion Longhorns head to Oklahoma City for the first of two conference championship regattas this month.
WHAT: Texas competes in the first of two conference championship regattas this month. UT takes part in the Big 12 Championship this weekend before competing at the Conference USA Championship in two weeks.
The Big 12 Championship features rowing teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State and West Virginia.

TELEVISION: The Big 12 Championship will air on Fox Sports Southwest on May 7 at 1 p.m. Central. The regatta will re-air on FSN Southwest on May 13 at 9 a.m. CT.

LAST YEAR AT THE BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP: Texas claimed a pair of races and placed second at the 2013 Big 12 Championship in Kansas City, Kansas. The Longhorns won the third varsity 8+ and the second varsity 4+ races.
BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY: Texas won four of the first five Big 12 Championship regattas and collected its most recent title in 2012. The Big 12 Championship started as a three-team regatta in 2009 (UT, Kansas, Kansas State) before expanding to four with the addition of Oklahoma in 2010. The championship expanded to five schools last year with West Virginia's addition to the Big 12 Conference.
