No. 23 Women's Tennis falls to No. 9 Texas A&M, 4-2 in NCAA Championships Second Round

Longhorns pick up singles wins from senior Elizabeth Begley and freshman Neda Koprcina
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 23 Texas (13-13) collected straight-sets singles wins from senior Elizabeth Begley and freshman Neda Koprcina, but No. 9 Texas A&M (21-6) emerged with a 4-2 win over the Longhorns Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Championships at A&M's Mitchell Tennis Center.
Texas A&M won the doubles point by way of victories at the third and first positions. The Aggies' opened with an 8-4 win from Rutuja Bhosale and Anna Mamalat over UT's Juliana Gajic and Lina Padegimaite at third doubles.
The matches at the first and second doubles slots progressed to tiebreakers. A&M's Stefania Hristov and Cristina Stancu defeated UT's Breaunna Addison and Elizabeth Begley, 7-2 in the tiebreaker at first doubles to clinch the doubles point. UT's Ratnika Batra and Neda Koprcina forced a tiebreak after trailing 5-3 at second doubles. The tiebreaker stood at 5-all when the match was suspended.
The Aggies pushed their lead to 2-0 behind Hristov's 6-1, 6-3 win over UT's Pippa Horn at fifth singles. UT's Begley put the Horns on the board at second singles with her 6-3, 6-0 win over A&M's 84th-ranked Ines Deheza. Texas evened the match at two behind Neda Koprcina's 6-3 6-2 win over Bhosale at fourth singles.
The Aggies reclaimed the lead and assumed a 3-2 cushion behind the 10th-ranked Stancu's 6-2, 6-3 win over UT's Addison at first singles. Shortly thereafter, A&M's Mamalat closed out a 6-4, 6-3 win over UT's Padegimaite at sixth singles to clinch the Aggies' victory.
