LAFAYETTE, La. -- Eight of the top men's collegiate tennis teams in the country will compete on Louisiana-Lafayette's Cajun Courts as part of the revived Cajun Classic, beginning Thursday.
Under the direction of former Louisiana-Lafayette and LSU men's tennis coach Jerry Simmons, the Classic returns for the first time since 1984 and will boast student-athletes from eight of the best teams in the country -- LSU, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Texas, Georgia, TCU and host Louisiana-Lafayette.
The event features a 32-man singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw.
Sophomore George Goldhoff, senior Adrien Berkowicz, freshman John Mee, and junior Michael Riechmann will represent the Longhorns with head coach Michael Center.
Porsche Napa Valley Tennis Classic
St. Helena, Calif. - Meadowood Napa Valley

St. Helena, Calif. -- A four-man squad will represent the Longhorns at the Porsche Napa Valley Tennis Classic. The competition will feature a 32-man, round-robin style tournament consisting of eight groups of four players. Each group will be comprised of three college athletes and a member of the national junior team. The individual winner of the tournament will receive a wildcard entry into a future U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) event.
Two-time All-American senior Søren Hess-Olesen returns to Napa Valley, where he advanced to the finals of the 2012 Porsche Napa Valley Tennis Classic as a sophomore. All-American senior Lloyd Glasspool, senior Jacoby Lewis and junior Nick Naumann join Hess-Olesen and associate head coach Ricardo Rubio for the weekend.
