Texas Men's Tennis begins competition in the 2014 Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships on Saturday at the Case Tennis Center, on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
Junior Michael Riechmann will be the Longhorns' lone representative in this weekend's pre-qualifying stage, while 56th-ranked George Goldhoff, 106th-ranked Adrien Berkowicz and 113th-ranked Nick Naumann begin the qualifying stage on Monday.
Senior All-Americans Søren Hess-Olesen and Lloyd Glasspool automatically qualify for the main singles and main doubles draws, which begin on Thursday, Oct. 2. The pair is ranked No. 4 as a doubles team. Hess-Olesen holds a No. 5 singles ranking and Glasspool a No. 31 ranking.
Last season, Goldhoff strung together six consecutive wins at the ITA All-American Championships to advance to the quarterfinals, including a win over then-No. 1 Mikelis Libietis of Tennessee in the round of 32.
