• Texas leads, 5-3. Last meeting: Texas 66-49 (March 13, 2014; Kansas City).
• Saturday's contest marks the ninth meeting between Texas and West Virginia.
• UT holds a 5-3 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to an 80-79 WVU win in Portland, Oregon (Far West Classic) on Dec. 28, 1973.
• Texas posted a three-game season sweep against the Mountaineers last year (80-69 in Morgantown, 88-71 in Austin, 66-49 in Kansas City at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship quarterfinals).
• Five of the eight games in the all-time series have been decided by four points or less, including one in overtime.
• UT's most memorable win in the series came in a 74-71 victory, courtesy of a Kenton Paulino three-pointer at the buzzer in the 2006 NCAA "Sweet 16" in Atlanta (Georgia Dome).

• BLOCK PARTY: Texas ranks SECOND nationally in blocked shots per game (7.7 bpg) through games of Jan. 14. The Horns have blocked at least seven shots in 12 of their first 16 contests. UT has reached double figures in blocks in four games this season.
• HOME SUCCESS AGAINST AP TOP 25: Texas has registered a 33-19 (.635) mark against AP Top 25 opponents at the Erwin Center during the Rick Barnes era entering Saturday's game against No. 16/15 West Virginia.
• TURNER RISING: Freshman forward Myles Turner leads the team in rebounding (6.8 rpg) and blocks (45) and ranks second in scoring (11.6 ppg) through the first 16 contests. Turner posted 18 points (6-of-12 FG, 4-of-4 threes), six rebounds and five blocked shots in 26 minutes during last Saturday's loss at Oklahoma State.

• UT is currently in its 38th season of play at the Frank Erwin Center.
• Texas has won 16 of its last 18 home games.
• The Longhorns have registered an all-time record of 458-106 (.812) in the building.
• Since Rick Barnes arrived in Austin, UT has recorded a 233-34 (.873) mark at the Erwin Center, including a 107-25 (.811) record in Big 12 Conference home games.
