UT Parking & Transportation announces change to some parking spots for Saturday
AUSTIN, Texas – The following message is from University of Texas at Austin Parking and Transportation regarding parking in certain areas of campus for Saturday's football game with instructions for those affected to park elsewhere.
Message from UT Parking & Transportation:
Although it is rare, the intersection of 24th St. and San Jacinto Blvd. can flood under the right circumstances. As a precautionary measure based on the current weather forecast, we are requiring all San Jacinto Blvd light blue permit holders to park in the San Jacinto Garage for the K-State game tomorrow.
If flooding should block the San Jacinto Garage ramp, Parking and Transportation Services will have signage to redirect you to the Trinity St. entrance of the San Jacinto Garage. If redirected, you will need to enter the Robert Dedman Dr. and Dean Keeton St. checkpoint. Drive to 23rd St. and then turn right onto Trinity St. Follow Trinity St. to the Level 3 entrance of the San Jacinto Garage.
As a safety measure, the portion of San Jacinto Blvd. and the lot under the San Jacinto Garage where you normally park will be blocked off tomorrow even if the area is not flooded.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
