Longhorns earn their fifth straight top-10 NCAA Championships finish and top NCAA showing since 2011.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Texas registered five All-America performances and moved up to seventh place in the final team standings Saturday evening at the 2015 NCAA Championships.
With 164 points, Texas recorded its top NCAA Championships finish under third-year head coach Carol Capitani after placing ninth the previous two seasons. The Longhorns secured their fifth straight top-10 NCAA Championships finish and their best showing at the national championships since 2011, when Texas placed sixth overall.
Kaitlin Pawlowicz opened up the scoring for Texas in the night's first event, the 1,650-yard freestyle, where she placed 12th overall after clocking 16 minutes, 0.22 seconds in the afternoon heats. The senior from Vienna, Virginia, recorded her first honorable mention All-America swim in her final swim as a Longhorn. Earlier this season, Pawlowicz became the first Longhorn in nearly 30 years to break 16 minutes in the 1,650 freestyle.

Sophomore diver Murphy Bromberg recorded her top finish in two NCAA Championship appearances and the Longhorns' highest-scoring individual performance of the night. Bromberg took sixth in the platform diving championship final with 297.55 points.
