Campbell Stoll closes out the NCAA Championships with a title in the 200 butterfly, while the 400 freestyle relay sets a new program record.
ATLANTA – Texas Women's Swimming & Diving finished third at the 2026 NCAA Championships with 376.5 points, trailing Virginia (589) and Stanford (380.5) at the McAuley Aquatic Center. The Longhorns were led Campbell Stoll, who captured the national title in the 200-yard butterfly for her fourth All-America honor, as well as aa program-record-setting 400-yard freestyle relay.
Texas placed among the top three for the sixth consecutive year under head coach Carol Capitani. The streak is the longest for Texas since 1990-95, the final years of a run of 13 straight top-three NCAA finishes from 1983-95, which followed three consecutive top-three results in the AIAW Championships.
Stoll captured the 200-yard butterfly title with a McAuley Aquatic Center record of 1:50.26, nearly two seconds faster than her preliminary swim of 1:52.21. Her win marks the fourth straight year a Longhorn has taken the 200 fly crown, following Emma Sticklen, who won from 2023-25. Texas is now the four-time defending champion in an event for the first time since 1988-91, when Leigh Ann Fetter collected four consecutive titles in the 50 free, sharing the 1988 crown. Stoll's victory also marks the first time Texas has been the sole winner in four straight years in an event since 1985-88, when Debbie Risen (100 back), Tori Trees (200 back), and Betsy Mitchell (100 and 200 back, 1986-88) dominated the backstroke events.
Campbell Chase opened the evening in the 200-yard individual medley and earned All-America honors with a fifth-place finish in 1:53.48. She split 24.32 in the fly, 28.77 in the back, 32.82 in the breaststroke and closed in 27.57 in the free.
On the platform, Bayleigh Cranford earned All-America honors with a fifth-place finish scoring 312.75. Her performance was highlighted by a back 3 and a half somersault tuck that earned 70.95 points.
The Longhorns' 400-yard freestyle relay team made up of Eva Okaro, Lillie Nesty, Nikolett Padar, and Erin Gemmell also turned in a record-setting performance. The quartet finished third in 3:07.02, breaking the previous program record of 3:08.14 set at the 2026 SEC Championships.
Texas also earned honorable mention All-America honors in four events. Okaro (46.49) and Gemmell (47.43) were recognized in the 100 freestyle, Emma Kern in the 200 backstroke (1:51.71), and Angie Coe in the 200 individual medley (1:54.87).
