WACO, Texas -- Seniors Lloyd Glasspool and Søren Hess-Olesen advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship with a straight-set win over TCU's 30th-ranked Trevor Johnson and Cameron Norrie, 6-4, 6-0, on Friday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The win placed the duo in the round of eight for the second consecutive year, while also qualifying them for ITA All-America honors as a duo for the second time. Glasspool and Hess-Olesen now combine for eight ITA All-America honors in their four-year careers at Texas.

Glasspool and Hess-Olesen improve to 4-1 in the NCAA Doubles Championship, with the only blemish coming as a walkover loss in last year's quarterfinals in Athens, Georgia.
The duo will face another Big 12 Conference foe on Saturday -- Oklahoma State's 24th-ranked Arjun Kadhe and Jakob Sude. The last time the pairs met, Glasspool and Hess-Olesen defeated Kadhe and Sude in a tiebreaker, 7-6(2), during dual match play on March 27 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Glasspool's singles career came to end on Friday with a three-set loss to Illinois' 23rd-ranked Jared Hiltzik, 7-6(3), 2-6, 6-3. The match included three rain delays and took approximately three hours and 40 minutes to complete.
Glasspool, who earned ITA All-America honors in singles for advancing to the round of 16, concludes his singles career with an 81-42 record, including a 20-10 mark this season. The England native compiled a 36-16 record at No. 2 singles during dual match play throughout his career.
