Men’s Tennis summer update

An update of Longhorns competing around the world.
Miguel Reyes-Varela '09 rose to a career-high doubles world ranking of No. 100 on July 20. He has a 25-15 doubles record on the pro circuit this year, featuring matches in the main doubles draw at the French Open (round of 64) and the qualifying doubles draw at Wimbledon. In May, he won a challenger tournament in Cali, Colombia with doubles partner Marcelo Demolier.
Ed Corrie '11 is coming off back-to-back years of competing in the main doubles draw at Wimbledon. Both appearances ended in the round of 64. He currently boasts singles and doubles ATP World Tour rankings of No. 226 and No. 250, respectively.
Dimitar Kutrovsky '10 helped his home country of Bulgaria defeat Luxembourg in the second round of the Davis Cup Group II Europe/Africa bracket in July. Luxembourg advances to face Hungary in September for a chance to be promoted to Group I in 2016. Kutrovsky is the second-highest ranked singles player in Bulgaria, checking in at No. 317 in the ATP World Tour rankings.
Søren Hess-Olesen '15 began his professional singles career in Portugal by advancing to the finals of an F9 Futures event, the round of 16 of an F10 Futures event, and the quarterfinals of an F11 Futures event. Hess-Olesen, the 2015 ITA Senior Player of the Year, reached a career-high ATP World Tour ranking of No. 967 on July 27.
Lloyd Glasspool '15, also in his first professional summer, advanced to the finals of the Ireland F1 Futures event. With a 7-3 singles record this summer, Glasspool jumped 963 spots in the ATP World Tour rankings to No. 905 on August 3.
Incoming freshman Liam Caruana features two wins over former collegiate players ranked in the final 2015 ITA singles rankings -- No. 106 Henry Craig (Denver) and No. 10 Gonzales Austin (Vanderbilt). Caruana advanced to the singles finals and doubles semifinals of the Hungarian Open, a Grade II clay-court tournament in Budapest, Hungary.
Junior George Goldhoff has competed in Futures events in Canada and Illinois with wins over former All-SEC performer Jarryd Chaplin (Tennessee), blue-chip Ohio State signee Kyle Seeling, Alabama's Danny Kerznerman, and Stanford signee Sameer Kumar (the second-ranked recruit in the class of 2015).
Incoming freshman Harrison Scott defeated former Washington stand-out Daniel Chu at a Futures event in Canada.
In July, redshirt freshman Julian Zlobinsky defeated Andrew Adams, the University of South Carolina's No. 1 singles player last season, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Antigua Performance Apparel Men's Open in New Jersey.
Sophomore John Mee features a 3-3 record this summer, including a win over Tim Kopinski, who played No. 3 singles for Illinois last season.
