Stadium and Terrace Clubs receive makeovers

The Stadium Club roughly doubles in size, while the Terrace Club now features enclosed, air-conditioned space.
When the 2015 Texas Football season kicks off in September, guests in the Terrace and Stadium Clubs will appreciate enhancements that should elevate their gameday experience.
The Stadium Club just received a two-year, $4.5 million makeover that roughly doubled the size of the fifth-floor space in Bellmont Hall.
Texas Athletics is constructing a nutrition center in the north end zone complex of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to serve student-athletes, but the nutrition center has a dual purpose -- providing an enclosed, air conditioned gameday club for Terrace Club members.
"We hope fans will find that these enhancements provide a better gameday experience while they are cheering on Texas Football, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium," Men's Athletics Director Steve Patterson said.
Stadium Club renovations are notable from the moment guests step off the fifth-floor elevators and are welcomed by sleek, modern tiling and finishing. Inside, patrons can take advantage of new furniture, two full service bars and center buffet serving and pay stations. Club guests will also enjoy new men's, women's and family restrooms.
With a considerable audio-visual enhancement, and LED lighting throughout, guests are able to stay current on all the gameday action from inside the climate-controlled club, but are only a short walk from seating sections 3-6.
The nutrition center project signals a tangible result of Texas Athletics' purpose to provide a premier student-athlete experience, as well as a commitment to delivering a hospitable and memorable gameday atmosphere for Longhorns fans.
Terrace Club members will continue to enjoy their premier North Chair Back seat locations, and can now experience the best of both worlds in the club area. The main area of the Terrace Club, behind section 16, is now an enclosed, air-conditioned club. Those areas behind section 13 and section 19 will remain outdoor club areas.
Texas Athletics is motivated to provide the best and safest gameday environment for fans and student-athletes, and as such prioritized many gameday enhancements for this coming season, including the sale of beer and wine throughout the stadium.
To facilitate the sale of beer and wine and ensure compliance with Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission (TABC) laws, rules and regulations, existing stadium policies had to be examined. Terrace Club and Stadium Club members provided feedback that allowed the Longhorn Foundation to work toward a solution that sustains alcohol service in these premium areas within the TABC requirements.
This season, members of the Terrace and Stadium Clubs are free to take beer and wine obtained in the club area back to stadium seats. Mixed drinks must be enjoyed within a specified area within the clubs. Mixed drinks cannot be carried out of the specified area.
"These enhancements are a tangible result of how we are listening to our fans and responding to their needs," Patterson said.
