Longhorns open 2015 fall tournament play under first-year head coach Howard Joffe.
WHAT: Texas opens 2015 fall tournament play (individual singles and doubles) this weekend at the Rice Invitational. It marks the first event for the Longhorns under the direction of first-year head coach Howard Joffe.
Joffe, who took over as head coach on July 9, joins the Longhorns after coaching the last four seasons at Texas A&M, whom he led to NCAA Top-10 finishes the last three seasons. Assistant coach Courtney Dolehide returns for her second season on the Longhorns' coaching staff.
All five returning Longhorns – seniors Breaunna Addison and Lana Groenvynck, juniors Pippa Horn and Neda Koprcina and sophomore Dani Wagland – will compete at Rice this weekend. Newcomer Chelsea Crovetti will make her collegiate debut at Rice.
