No. 5 Volleyball’s White sets UT record with sixth Big 12 honor

Freshman Micaya White has received more Freshman of the Week awards than any player in Texas Volleyball history.
AUSTIN, Texas – Freshman Micaya White was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season, the conference office announced on Monday.
White has earned the award six times, the most of any player in Texas Volleyball history tying the Big 12 record with Hannah Werth (Nebraska, 2009).
She posted 39 kills, hitting .323 in eight sets, also leading the Longhorns in aces with four (0.50/set), ranking second in the league with 4.88 kills per set and 5.69 points per set.
