He has reached double figures in scoring in four of his first five contests this year, after posting double-digit efforts just five times in 33 games last season.
• ALLEN SEES DOUBLE: Freshman Jarrett Allen recorded his second collegiate double-double with his 13 points and 12 rebounds (7 offensive) during Tuesday's game against UTA. For the year, Allen leads the team in rebounding (7.8 rpg) and minutes (29.7 mpg) and ranks third in scoring (10.5 ppg) while hitting 52.2 percent (24-46) from the floor.
• ROACH HEATING UP: Sophomore Kerwin Roach Jr. has averaged 16.0 ppg over his last two contests entering Friday's game vs. Alabama. He posted 16 points (8-14 FG) and 3 steals in 31 minutes on Tuesday against UTA. Roach had 16 points in 30 minutes against Colorado (Nov. 22) in the previous contest.
