AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 16/17 University of Texas women's basketball team will play its second game in less than 48 hours on Saturday when it plays host to UTSA. Tip-off in the Frank Erwin Center is slated for 5 p.m. CT and the game will be televised nationally by Longhorn Network.
Texas (4-4) is coming off an 85-61 win against UT Rio Grande Valley on Thursday evening. Freshman guard/forward Joyner Holmes and senior center Kelsey Lang each charted double-doubles, marking the first time that two Longhorns have recorded double-doubles in the same game since January 26, 2013.
The Longhorns notched their 500th all-time win in the Erwin Center on Thursday and now hold a 500-96 (.839) record within the facility. Since the start of the 2013-14 campaign, Texas is 50-6 (.893) in the Erwin Center during that span.

Texas has won the rebound battle in each of its eight games so far this season and holds a +12.1 edge on the boards. The Longhorns rank 15th nationally in rebound margin.
Junior guard Brooke McCarty leads the way for the Longhorns, averaging a squad-best 14.3 points per game with a team-high 13 assists. She has knocked down a team-high 17 three-pointers so far this season in a team-high 32.8 minutes per game.
Junior guard Ariel Atkins follows with 12.0 points per game, while Holmes adds 11.4 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Lang is bringing down a squad-best 7.3 rebounds per game to go along with a team-high 18 blocked shots. She is also contributing 9.4 points per game.
Texas and UTSA meet for the seventh time in the history of the two programs. The Longhorns lead the all-time series between the two teams 6-0, including a 5-0 edge when the game is played in the Frank Erwin Center. The two teams last met on November 14, 2015, a 90-53 Texas win. The Longhorns are 68-17 all-time vs. teams in the current alignment of Conference USA.
UTSA enters Saturday's game after a 16-day break from game action. The Roadrunners are 3-5 on the season but have won two consecutive games, defeating Abilene Christian and Texas State. Junior guard Loryn Goodwin is averaging a team-high 19.9 points per game and a squad-best 4.9 assists per game.

Just three players in UT history - Carey, Kat Nash and Vicki Hall - have shot better than .400 beyond the three-point arc for their careers.
• Senior center Kelsey Lang currently ranks tied for eighth in UT school history with 129 career blocks. She needs one more blocks to surpass Tracy Cook (129) for sole possession eighth place in school history.
