Freshman Claire Hahn talks about leaving a legacy, her accomplishments and personality traits.
Hometown: Austin, Texas
Position: Libero
Interest of Study: undecided
How did you choose UT?
CH: Both of my parents went to UT and I grew up in Austin, so it was my dream school.
Do you have any hidden talents?
CH: People have told me I'm a deceptively good dancer!
What are your expectations in your first year with Texas Volleyball?
CH: I want to fight for a starting spot, but I also want to push my teammates to be the best we can be.
What are you most looking forward to in college?
CH: I'm looking forward to getting even closer to the team and growing as a volleyball player.
What are your career aspirations?
CH: I'm not sure yet, but possibly something in sports medicine.
Who is your favorite Texas Volleyball alum and why?
CH: Sydney Yogi. I didn't realize how stern and tough she is until I got a lesson from her. It made me want to be like that.
Who is your role model?
CH: My sister. She started me off playing volleyball and has been a guide for me in my life.
What do you think you can bring to the team in 2016?
CH: I want to bring intensity and a sense of urgency on the court defensively.
What is your favorite sport outside of volleyball?
CH: Tae Kwan Do and kickboxing.
What is your biggest accomplishment to date?
CH: Committing to Texas or making the All-State team.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
CH: Hearing people chew.
What other sports did you play growing up?
CH: Soccer, basketball, tennis, Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics
What is your favorite thing to eat?
CH: Korean barbeque
How do you want to be remembered at Texas?
CH: I want to be remembered as someone who worked her way to success.
How would your best friends describe you?
CH: Quiet at first, but outgoing when you get to know me!
