Volleyball announces 2016 schedule

The Longhorns will open their season in Eugene, Ore.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball revealed its 2016 schedule, the program announced on Thursday.
The Longhorns will play in nine matches against teams ranked in the top-25 or received votes in the final 2015 season poll.
They will open the season in Eugene, Ore. to face Oregon on its home court on Friday, Aug. 26, following with a match against defending national champion and No. 1 Nebraska on Saturday, Aug. 27.
Texas will return to host Lipscomb, UTSA, Miami and Army in a tournament at Gregory Gym from Thursday, Sept. 1 to Saturday, Sept. 3.
They will then hit the road again to Fort Collins, Colo. to take on No. 23 Colorado State on Friday, Sept. 9 and Wichita State on Saturday, Sept. 10.
UT will close its non-conference portion of the schedule with a rivalry match versus No. 18 Texas A&M at Gregory Gym on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and No. 10 Wisconsin on Sunday, Sept. 18.
The Longhorns will open Big 12 Conference play at West Virginia on Tuesday, Sept. 20 and conclude the conference season to host West Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 26.
