Join your fellow students for a night of FREE events.
The first day of Fall 2016 classes on the Forty Acres promises to provide a spirited, Texas-style welcome to all students with the annual Horns Up Night, a trifecta of events for every UT student! It all kicks off on Wednesday, Aug. 24 when Texas Athletics hosts the Texas Kickoff Rally presented by Gatti's Pizza at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Learn all about storied Texas Football traditions and hear from Coach Strong about the upcoming season. Students should enter through Gate 8 in the northwest corner of the stadium. Gates will be open at 5:45 p.m. The event is FREE for all UT students.
Following the Rally, freshmen are invited onto the field to participate in the official Texas '20 Class Photo. This photo is the freshman class' opportunity to form the largest Longhorn ever on the field. Finally, Horns Up Night is capped off with the annual Orange & White Welcome, hosted by the Texas Exes. Following the Texas '20 Class Photo, students can head across the street to the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center for FREE pizza and more! Horns Up Night is a part of Longhorn Welcome.
