Hook 'Em set to compete at the 2017 College Mascot National Championship

UT's official mascot is one of 10 mascots to compete this Friday, Jan. 13.
Ten mascots have qualified to compete in the College Mascot National Championship for Division I football schools. The University of Texas costumed mascot, Hook 'Em, made the top 10 and will be competing in Orlando, Florida from Jan. 13-15, 2017. The competition is hosted by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and the Universal Dance Association (UDA).
The entire event may be viewed free of charge via live stream on Varsity TV on Varsity.com. The mascot performances will be streamed on Friday, Jan. 13 starting at 5 p.m. CT. The champions will be announced following the conclusion of the competition at 8:30 p.m. CT.
Longhorn Network will also air a two-hour version of the programming as follows (schedule subject to change):
• Friday, Jan. 13 at 11 p.m. CT
• Saturday, Jan. 14 at 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. CT
• Sunday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. CT
Results from all divisions will be posted on Varsity.com as soon as they are announced.
