UT dropped a 74-72 decision at home to No. 10/9 West Virginia last Saturday (Jan. 14) and fell 74-64 at No. 6/6 Baylor on Tuesday (Jan. 17).
• ALLEN BECOMES ASSERTIVE: Freshman forward Jarrett Allen, the current Phillips 66 Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week, has averaged a team-best 18.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 33.3 minutes per game over the last three contests. Allen has converted 21-of-31 (.677) field goals and 12-of-15 (.800) free throws during the stretch.
• CLEARE ON A ROLL: Senior forward Shaquille Cleare has averaged 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 29.0 minutes per game over the last two contests. He has converted 12-of-19 (.632) field goals in the stretch. Cleare tied his career high with 14 points (6-10 FG)and added six rebounds in 25 minutes during Tuesday's game at No. 6/6 Baylor.
