Current and former UT female athletes have won 56 Olympic medals.
The successes of University of Texas female athletes extends well beyond the Forty Acres and even beyond the United States. The Longhorns have a proud tradition of excellence at the Olympic games, dating back to 1972.
Seventy-eight current and former University of Texas female athletes have participated in the Olympic games and, since the 1972 games in Munich, Longhorn women have been part of every summer Olympic games.
Current and former UT female athletes have won 56 Olympic medals – 29 gold, 17 silver and 10 bronze.
