Tiffany Jackson-Jones begins WNBA Playoffs on Tuesday

Los Angeles Sparks host Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday at 9 p.m. CT.
AUSTIN, Texas – Former University of Texas women's basketball All-American Tiffany Jackson-Jones and the Los Angeles Sparks begin play in the semifinal round of the 2017 WNBA Playoffs on Tuesday by hosting the fifth-seeded Phoenix Mercury in the first game of a best-of-five series.
Tuesday's game tips off at 9 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by ESPN2. The top-seeded Minnesota Lynx and the sixth-seeded Washington Mystics meet in the other best-of-five semifinal series.
This will mark the third WNBA Playoffs appearance for Jackson-Jones in her nine-year WNBA career. Jackson-Jones, who returned to the WNBA this season after more than a year battling cancer, has played in 26 games for the Los Angeles Sparks in 2017. She is averaging 1.1 points per game and 1.2 rebounds per game in 5.7 minutes per game of action.
Jackson-Jones was the fifth overall pick of the 2007 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. She played in 123 career games at Texas with 103 starts. For the Longhorns from 2003-07 she averaged 15.6 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks per game and 2.5 steals per game.
