Women's Golf's Schubert concludes play at ANA Inspiration

Schubert totaled a five-over-par 149 (76-73).
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Senior Texas women's golfer Sophia Schubert turned in a one-over-par 73 on Friday to conclude play at the 2018 ANA Inspiration, one of five LPGA majors, at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course of Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
For the event, Schubert totaled a five-over-par 149 (76-73) in the first two rounds before the cut for Saturday's round. She totaled six birdies over the course of the two rounds.
For Schubert, it was her second LPGA major after having also participated in The Evian Championship this past September. She earned exemptions to play in both events after winning the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship this past summer.
Schubert is the No. 8 ranked collegiate golfer according to Golfweek and the No. 18 golfer in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
