Longhorns earn USTFCCCA All-America honors

Seventeen Longhorns earned All-America honors at last week’s national championships.
Texas selected to host 2019, 2020 NCAA Track & Field Championships
NEW ORLEANS, La. - All-America honors for the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season were announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). A total of 17 Longhorns combined to earn 21 All-America certificates during last week's championships in Eugene.
Student-athletes earned First-Team All-America status by virtue of finishing among the top-eight of their events, including as members of a relay team. Second-Team All-America honors went to those student-athletes who finished between ninth and 16th place. Those athletes who finished 17th through 24th were named USTFCCCA Honorable Mention, but are not to be called All-Americans.
Men
First Team (4) - John Burt (110 Meter Hurdles), Fabian Dohmann (Javelin), Tripp Piperi (Shot Put), Sam Worley (1500 Meters)
Second Team (2) - John Rice (Steeplechase), Alex Rogers (1500 Meters)
Honorable Mention (1) - Micaiah Harris (200 Meters)
Women
First Team (3) - Rushelle Burton (100 Meter Hurdles), Ariel Jones (400 Meter Hurdles), Pedrya Seymour (100 Meter Hurdles)
Second Team (12) - Mariam Abdul-Rashid (4x400 Relay), Elena Bruckner (Discus), Rushelle Burton (4x100 Relay), Teahna Daniels (4x100 Relay), Serenity Douglas (400 Meters, 4x400 Relay), Zola Golden (4x100 Relay, 4x400 Relay), Ariel Jones (4x400 Relay), Kally Long (Pole Vault), Pedrya Seymour (4x100 Relay), Ashtin Zamzow (Heptathlon)
Honorable Mention (2) - Haley Crouser (Javelin), Teahna Daniels (100 Meters)
