Enhanced parking and transportation coming to Football gamedays

More routes and options will be available to Longhorns fans this upcoming season.
AUSTIN, Texas -- In an effort to further enhance the Texas Football gameday experience, Texas Athletics is making strides alongside the Austin Police Department, CapMetro, Uber, and Longhorns Express to improve parking and transportation options for Longhorns fans.
"Our goal is to provide Longhorns fans with the best gameday experience in the country," Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte said. "And that starts with getting to and from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium easily and efficiently. Our team is working with our transportation partners and our friends at the Austin Police Department to develop the best transportation solutions possible."
In addition to the return of the RV lot and increased special accommodation parking availability, Longhorns Express locations and CapMetro routes will offer more routes with drop-offs and pick-ups closer to the stadium. Gameday shuttles have also been added from east of I-35. CapMetro and Texas Athletics are also discussing extended rail service on gamedays.
As a rideshare option, there will be a designated Uber lot for all home games and select games will feature promo codes for rides beginning and/or ending at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. The Uber location for drop-off and pick-up has also been enhanced with a dedicated lot off Red River.
"We are fortunate to have fantastic relationships with Austin PD, CapMetro, Uber and Longhorns Express and they are all committed to providing Texas Football fans with the safest, most efficient transportation service," said Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs Drew Martin. "Together, we will give our fans multiple, logical options to make getting to and from the stadium on gamedays as easy as possible."
Texas Athletics is continuing to work with APD, CapMetro, Longhorns Express, and Uber to improve the way fans get to and from gameday. Additionally, parking spaces remain available for season-long purchase from the Longhorn Foundation by calling 512-471-3333 or visiting TexasSports.com.
