TEXAS HEAD COACH KAREN ASTON
"I definitely think that it took some time to get into any type of offensive flow. There's a bottom line offensively for us when we have Charli and Joyner in there. It's an advantage for us. I thought that maybe the end of the first half - probably the last four to five minutes - we really paid attention to detail defensively and that was really kind of where we gained our confidence and got into a better flow. We played much better in the second half and I thought everybody contributed in the win."
UTSA HEAD COACH KRISTEN HOLT
"Texas is a good team and of course we knew coming in that their physicality was going to be an issue, especially when their big kids were rebounding like they were. They really pounded it inside in the second half and obviously that kind of took its toll. I like the way our team competed. I just saw a stat here that we led for eleven minutes of the game, so those are little things with our team. We're overall a very young team, young guards, lots of mistakes as far as getting back in transition. I thought when they went to the zone coming out of the half, that really took us out of any type of rhythm. We struggled with the zone, we had some kids make some shots and that kind of helped, I think they got out of it then at that point but I thought that was a good call on her part."
