Women’s Basketball to host Louisville in SEC/ACC Challenge

AUSTIN, Texas — For the fifth time in program history the Texas women's basketball team will play Louisville as ESPN announced the games today for the fourth annual SEC/ACC women's challenge.
The Longhorns will host Louisville on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2026 at Moody Center. The two teams have met four times and have split the games 2-2. The most recent time the two teams met was the 2022-23 season in Austin in the NCAA tournament. Louisville finished the 2025-26 season ranked No. 11 in the final AP poll.
The Longhorns are coming off a second consecutive Final Four appearance in the 2025-26 season. Texas won the 2026 SEC Tournament championship and have won 30 or more games in three straight seasons. Texas returns three-time First Team All-American and 2025 SEC Player of the Year Madison Booker and the Longhorns are set to bring in the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the country as freshmen for the 2025-26 season. The Longhorns have won 44 straight games at Moody Center, including finishing undefeated at home over the last two seasons.
The SEC/ACC Women's Challenge will take place over back-to-back days Wednesday, Dec. 2, and Thursday, Dec. 3. The games will be televised across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network. Game times and networks will be announced at a later date.
