Women’s Diving claims top five spots in the 3-meter competition

Alison Gibson scores 382.90 to claim the title.
AUSTIN, Texas – On the opening day of the 2019 Texas Diving Invitational, the Texas women's divers claimed first through fifth place in the 3-meter diving competition.
Senior Alison Gibson led from the get go, leading after each round in both the prelims and the finals. In the finals, she placed first in five of the six rounds, and finished second in the only other. She won the competition with a score of 382.90.
Paola Pineda scored a 341.70 with claiming a first-place finish in the fifth round of the finals. Freshman Janie Boyle finished in third with a score of 322.55.
Jordan Skilken and Morgan Menninger were neck and neck for fourth and fifth place with Skilken edging Menninger by the score of 291.90 to 291.45.
The Longhorns will return to action on Friday, Nov. 22 at 12:20 p.m. for the 1-meter prelim on day two of the Texas Diving Invitational.
