No. 5 Women's Swimming and Diving in second after day one of Minnesota Invite

The Longhorns posted a team score of 124 points on Wednesday.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The No. 5 Texas women's swimming and diving team is in second at the 2019 Minnesota Invite after the first day of competition with a score of 124.
California is in first with 192 points. Arizona is in third with 90 points, with Michigan following at 78, then Minnesota at 62, Harvard at 46, and Iowa at 28.
Texas went 2-4 in the 800 Free Relay. Kelly Pash, Julia Cook, Evie Pfeifer and Claire Adams teamed up to hit a mark of 6:57.04 for second place, while Bridget Semenuk, Kyla Leibel, Mary Smutny, and Miranda Heckman came in fourth with a time of 7:04.90.
In the 200 Medley Relay, the Longhorns took third, seventh and 15th.
The third-place group consisted of Adams, Pfeifer, Pash and Cook, and the finished in a time of 1:37.17.
The seventh-place group of Grace Ariola, Kennedy Lohman, Lauren Case and Semenuk finished at 1:39.49.
Ashley Pollok, Holly Jansen, Emily Reese and Leibel finished in 15th with a time of 1:41. 24.
The 2019 Minnesota Invite continues on Thursday, with prelims starting promptly at 10 a.m. Each day, event finals will take place at 6 p.m.
