No. 5 Women’s Swimming & Diving remains in third at Minnesota Invite

The Longhorns took second and third in the 100 Back, led by Claire Adams.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The No. 5 Texas Women's Swimming & Diving team remained in third place after the third day of the Minnesota Invite on Friday.
The Longhorns trail California with 807 points in first place and Michigan with 523.5 points in second. Behind the Longhorns are Arizona (357), Minnesota (303), Iowa (189), Harvard (187.5) ad Nebraska (2).
Texas took second and third in the 100 Back, with Claire Adams swimming a 51:29 and Julia Cook finishing third at 51.67.
Evie Pfeifer took second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:08.58. This result comes a day after Pfeifer finished second in the 500 Free.
In the 200 Free Relay, the Longhorns grouping of Bridget Semenuk, Julia Cook, Grace Ariola and Claire Adams finished second with a time of 1:28.35. Texas also had a relay team finish sixth, consisting of Kelly Pash, Jordan Wheeler, Kyla Keibel and Emily Reese.
Kelly Pash took fourth in the 100 Fly with a time of 52.57 and Bridget Semenuk was fifth in the 200 Free at 1:45.86.
Competition will resume Saturday morning at 10 a.m., beginning with the women's and men's 1650 free preliminary races. Saturday's events will also include the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free with event finals scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
