02.04.2019 | Football
Lifetime Longhorn Malcom Brown won his second Super Bowl ring on Sunday night.
For the second time in the last three seasons, Lifetime Longhorn Malcom Brown is a Super Bowl champion. Brown and his New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3, in Super Bowl LIII on Sunday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Brown contributed two tackles in the dominating defensive effort.
Brown (2017, '19) becomes the fifth Longhorn to win two Super Bowl titles, joining Casey Hampton (Pittsburgh, 2006, '09), Dan Neil (Denver, 1998-99), Terry Orr (Washington, 1988, '92) and Aaron Ross (New York Giants, 2008, '12). Brown (2017-19) and Hampton are the only Longhorns to ever appear in three Super Bowls during their NFL careers. Brown, and former Longhorn teammate and now LA Ram (Malcolm Brown, injured reserve) made it 14 consecutive seasons with at least one Longhorn in the Super Bowl, a school record.
