• IT'S BEEN A WHILE: Texas is looking to advance to the semifinals at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship for the first time since 2014. The Longhorns have reached the semifinal round in 13 of their first 22 appearances at the Championship.
• BIG 12 FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR: Forward Jaxson Hayes became the sixth UT player to earn Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors, joining T.J. Ford (2001-02), Daniel Gibson (2004-05), Kevin Durant (2006-07), Tristan Thompson (2010-11) and Myles Turner (2014-15).
• RAMEY ON A ROLL: Freshman G Courtney Ramey has reached double figures in scoring in seven of the last nine games. Over the last five contests, he has averaged 12.0 ppg in 32.2 mpg while converting 47.6-percent (10-21) from three-point range.
• COLEMAN AT THE POINT: Sophomore point guard Matt Coleman III earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention accolades. He leads the team and ranks fifth in the Big 12 in assists (3.7 apg) and posted a 78-28 assist-to-turnover ratio (2.79) in league play.
