• MARCH HISTORY BETWEEN TEAMS: The last two meetings between UT and Xavier have come in the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament. Texas defeated Xavier 102-90 in the 1990 tourney, while the Musketeers topped the Longhorns 79-71 in 2004.
• LONG-RANGE SUCCESS: Texas converted 15-of-38 (39.5-percent) from three-point range during Tuesday's first-round win against South Dakota State. The Longhorns hit 11-of-23 (.478) from beyond the arc in the first half, just one 3-pointer shy of tying the school record for most threes made in a half.
• OSETKOWSKI STEPS UP IN POSTSEASON: Senior F Dylan Osetkowski has averaged a team-best 22.0 ppg in 29.5 mpg over the last two contests while converting 57.7-percent (15-26) from the floor, including a 7-of-13 (.538) mark from three-point range. In Tuesday's win against South Dakota State, Osetkowski posted a career-high 26 points (9-13 FG, 4-6 threes) in 24 minutes.
