Three Women's Golfers named to Arnold Palmer Cup Teams

Kaitlyn Papp, Hailee Cooper and Agathe Laisne all will participate in the Arnold Palmer Cup.
A nation-leading three Texas women's golfers have been named to the 2019 teams for the prestigious Arnold Palmer Cup, it was announced Wednesday evening on Golf Channel.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Papp and freshman Hailee Cooper were named to the United States team, while sophomore Agathe Laisne was named to the International team. The Longhorns are the only team in the nation to place three players on the combined 20-person U.S. and International teams that were announced on Wednesday.
Papp is one of five returning members of the 2019 U.S. Team, as she helped the United States claim the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup. Papp made the U.S. Team by finishing in the top-six of the Arnold Palmer Cup rankings, while Cooper and Laisne were committee selections.
The 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup matches will be hosted by The Alotian Club in Roland, Ark., June 7-9.
Papp, the 2018 Big 12 Conference Player and Freshman of the Year, has played in all six events for the Longhorns this season with a stroke average of 71.67. She has recorded a team-leading 12 rounds at par or better and she has five top-20 individual finishes in six events. Papp has recorded four rounds in the 60s this season and has three top-10 finishes. Papp is ranked No. 19 in the Golfstat individual rankings.
Cooper has played in all six events for the Longhorns and leads her team with a stroke average of 71.50. She won the individual title at the 2018 Betsy Rawls Invitational and has five top-20 individual finishes this season. Cooper has carded 11 rounds at par or better on the year with four rounds in the 60s. Cooper is ranked No. 21 in the Golfstat individual rankings.
Laisne, who ranks No. 29 in the Golfstat individual rankings, has played in all six tournaments this season for the Longhorns with a stroke average of 72.11. Laisne has a pair of top-five individual finishes this season, including a career-best second-place showing at the highly competitive Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. She has fired five rounds in the 60s and has recorded 10 rounds at par or better.
