Texas Athletics records 11 NCAA Championship Top-10 finishes in 2018-19

UT records four Top-2 NCAA team finishes, the most since 1993-94, and wins a league-best nine Big 12 Conference titles.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas officially concluded its 2018-19 athletics season on Saturday evening at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Texas recorded four Top-2 NCAA team finishes during the 2018-19 academic year, the most by the Longhorns since the 1993-94 season.
Of the school's 20 intercollegiate programs, the Longhorns registered seven Top-5 and 11 Top-10 team finishes in NCAA Championships during the recent academic year. This marks the most NCAA Top-5 team finishes by the Longhorns since UT recorded eight Top-5 performances in 2008-09. It also marks the most NCAA Top-10 team finishes by the Longhorns since UT registered 11 in 2014-15.
Highlighted by Men's Tennis' run to its first NCAA team championship, Texas also recorded NCAA runner-up finishes in Men's Swimming and Diving, Men's Golf and Rowing. UT added Top-10 NCAA performances in Women's Swimming and Diving (fifth), Volleyball (tied for fifth), Women's Golf (tied for fifth), Football (No. 9 in final AP poll), Men's Outdoor Track and Field (ninth), Softball (tied for ninth) and Women's Outdoor Track and Field (tied for 10th).
The Longhorns also posted NCAA Top-20 finishes in Women's Indoor Track and Field (tied for 12th), Men's Indoor Track and Field (tied for 13th) and Women's Tennis (tied for 17th).
In addition to its success on the national level, Texas claimed a league-best nine Big 12 Conference titles (Volleyball, Women's Indoor Track and Field, Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving, Women's Golf, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, Women's Outdoor Track and Field, and Rowing). UT has captured a league-best 184 all-time Big 12 Championships (regular season and postseason) through the completion of the 2018-19 season.
