Football season tickets on sale now

Less than 100 days remain until Texas Football takes the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for the 2019 season. Coming off a thrilling win in the Allstate Sugar Bowl and its first 10 win season since 2009, excitement among Longhorn Nation is soaring with over 97% of season tickets renewed and approximately 6,000 new season tickets already purchased. Fans interested in buying new season ticket holders can do so now at TexasSports.com/tickets or by calling 512-471-3333. Available season tickets begin at just $480 per seat, which includes a $150 per seat gift to the Longhorn Foundation. (Season ticket prices did not increase this season.) Due to overwhelming demand, some areas and price levels are already sold out.

Purchasing season tickets is the only way to guarantee seats for the highly anticipated matchup vs. LSU on Sept. 7, the first time since 1954 that the Horns and Tigers have met in Austin. Any remaining single-game tickets for the LSU game will be offered first to season ticket holders in August (pending availability).

In addition to LSU, the 2019 home schedule includes home games against Louisiana Tech (Aug. 31) and Big 12 foes Oklahoma State (Sept. 21), Kansas (Oct. 19), K-State (Nov. 9), and Texas Tech (Nov. 29). Fans can look forward to the best tailgating experience in college football with the return of Bevo Blvd. presented by H-E-B and Longhorn City Limits; and the unveiling of Smokey's Midway, Texas Football's newest pregame experience. More details about enhancements to these areas will be announced later this summer.

The Longhorns enter year three of the Tom Herman era. Last season, Herman led Texas to a 10-4 record (its best since 2009); a victory in the 2019 Allstate Sugar Bowl over No. 5 Georgia; and a Big 12 Championship appearance. The Longhorns were one of only two teams nationally to defeat two programs -- No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 7 Georgia -- that finished ranked in the top 10. Texas finished ranked No. 9 in both the Associated Press and the Amway USA Today Coaches polls, its first top 10 final ranking since 2009. The team returns 20 players (nine offense, 11 defense) who started at least one game last season including Sugar Bowl MVP QB Sam Ehlinger. On top of that talented nucleus, the Longhorns welcome their second consecutive top five recruiting class.

There are already a few new additions to the 2019 Texas Football gameday experience, with more anticipated to be announced closer to kickoff.

LONGHORN LOUNGE
Located behind Sections 18-19, the Longhorn Lounge provides a new premium experience at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium for the 2019 Football season. Enjoy your own private lounge area with exclusive food options available for purchase. The menu, not available outside the Longhorn Lounge, rotates an entrée option, fresh toppings and your choice of a side for a discounted price. A cash bar with beer and wine is available until the start of the fourth quarter. The Longhorn Lounge opens two hours prior to kickoff and closes at the conclusion of the game. Access to the Longhorn Lounge is open to season tickets holders with a ticket in Sections 18-19, Rows 54-64. A comfortable chairback seat outside and a private space behind the Longhorn Lounge is a great value for any Longhorns fan.

SOUTH END ZONE PROJECT
On May 4, Texas Football broke ground on the $175 million South End Zone expansion project scheduled to open in 2021. For the next two seasons while construction is ongoing, stadium capacity will be limited.

SMOKEY'S MIDWAY
Located on the north end of DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium along DeLoss Dodds Way, this fan experience is the perfect bridge connecting Bevo Blvd. and Longhorn City Limits. The area, named after UT's iconic gameday tradition Smokey the Cannon, features a variety of midway games featuring great prizes, new interactive attractions, unique fair-specific food, and additional food trucks. Like Bevo Blvd. and Longhorn City Limits, Smokey's Midway also features pregame happy hour pricing.
