Jase Febres registered a game-high 18 points on Monday night.
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — Junior guard Jase Febres posted a game-high 18 points, but The University of Texas Men's Basketball team (12-6, 2-4 Big 12) fell 97-59 at No. 14/15 West Virginia (15-3, 4-2 Big 12) on Monday night at WVU Coliseum. WVU set opponent team season highs in points, field goals made (36), rebounds (53), assists (16) and steals (12).
Febres converted 4-of-7 three-pointers and a career-best 6-of-6 free throws in 27 minutes. Junior guard Matt Coleman III added 15 points while hitting 3-of-6 three-pointers in 24 minutes.
After a Febres three-pointer brought the Longhorns to within 15-13 at the 12:39 mark, the Mountaineers put the game away with a 28-2 run over the next 10-plus minutes to build a 43-15 advantage with 1:55 remaining in the opening half.
