Women’s Tennis earns ITA All-Academic Team recognition

Five Longhorns from 2019-20 roster named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Women's Tennis team earned All-Academic Team recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the organization announced Monday. In addition, five Longhorns from the 2019-20 roster garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades, including Adri Nagy, Marta Perez Mur, Lexi Ryngler, Lulu Sun and Bianca Turati.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
- Have a team GPA of 3.2 or above (4.0 scale)
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athletes must meet the following requirements:
- Have a GPA of at least 3.5 (4.0 scale) for the current academic year
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
Texas completed the shortened 2020 dual-match season with an 11-3 record and held the No. 4 spot in the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Division I team national rankings (March 10).
