Big 12 announces early 2020 Football TV selections

The Longhorns’ season opener against UTEP will kick off at 7 p.m. CT on LHN.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 14/14 Texas Football program is set to kick off its 2020 season against UTEP on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. on Longhorn Network, the Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday. In addition, the league office announced that UT's conference opener at Texas Tech (Sept. 26) will be held at 2:30 p.m. on FOX, and the 2020 AT&T Red River Showdown against No. 5/6 Oklahoma (Oct. 10) will get underway at 11 a.m. on FOX.
The Big 12 also announced that Texas' matchup at Iowa State has been moved up one day and will now be held on Nov. 27, the Friday after Thanksgiving. The game will air on ABC or an ESPN network, with a kickoff time to be determined at a later date.
The season opener against UTEP will mark the sixth meeting between the two Lone Star State programs, with the Longhorns winning each of the previous five encounters. The Longhorns and Miners last met in 2016, with UT scoring a 41-7 victory that night in Austin.
