Windle Finishes Third in 1-meter at UT Diving Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – Jordan Windle highlighted day one of the UT Diving Invitational with a third-place finish in the 3-meter event at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
After leading the way after prelims with 398.60 points, Windle walked away from his first event of the weekend in third with 393.45 points. LSU's Juan Hernandez narrowly edged out Kurtis Matthews of Texas A&M, 414.45 – 407.60, to take first and second.
Noah Duperre also reached Thursday night's finals and finished seventh overall with 354.15 points.
Andrew Gawin-Parigini started the day in the 1-meter prelims and finished with a score of 314.90, while Manuel Borowski recorded 312.10 points, followed by Brendan McCourt 311.70 points.
The men return to the pool tomorrow for competition in the 3-meter scheduled for a 1:15 p.m. prelims start time. The action can be streamed on the Longhorn Network all weekend.
