Action kicks off at 2 p.m. and continues all the way to the postgame Men’s Basketball vs. Gonzaga Watch Party
After a month away, we are so excited to welcome Longhorn Nation back to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for gameday on the Forty Acres! This weekend's game versus Kansas celebrates the longstanding tradition of Veterans Recognition Day at Texas Football. From the best pregame experience in the country to a postgame watch party at Hook 'Em Hangout for the Men's Basketball vs. Gonzaga game, we've got an action-packed day you won't want to miss!
The Best Pregame Experience in the country!
It all starts at 2 p.m. when Bevo Blvd presented by H-E-B, Smokey's Midway, and Hook 'Em Hangout open! Highlights for this week include:
- Greet Bevo XV at the Bevo Parade presented by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance at 3:30 p.m. on Bevo Blvd
- Cheer the Horns on to victory at the Stadium Stampede at 4 p.m. on Bevo Blvd
- Visit the Nissan Heisman House located on Bevo Blvd with an appearance by Longhorn legends Jamaal Charles! Jamaal will be available for autographs and photos beginning at 2 p.m.
- Get autographs from the Texas Softball team from 5-6 p.m. in front of the Etter-Arbin Alumni Center
- Head to Smokey's Midway on the north side of the stadium and the 45-foot tall ferris wheel, carnival games, State Fair-inspired food options, and more! All carnival games and attractions are FREE!
- Enjoy Big Beertha, our rotating tap truck featuring 10 draft beers, and 10+ food trucks at Hook 'Em Hangout located inside Winship Circle!
- Watch the best games from around the country on two giant LED screens on Bevo Blvd or at Hook 'Em Hangout inside of Winship Circle.
- Gear up with exclusive gear at the "A Selection As Big As Texas" Pop-Up Shop located outside of Gate 8 on the northwest corner of the stadium. This week, we'll be featuring exclusive Operation Hat Trick product as part of our Veterans Recognition Day celebration.
- Visit the Fan Services booth and show your proof of COVID-19 vaccination for a voucher redeemable for a FREE regular popcorn, 20 oz. bottled water, or regular fountain drink inside the stadium

Fans can enjoy happy hour pricing featuring $5 domestic and $6 premium beers at Bevo Blvd presented by H-E-B, Longhorn City Limits, Smokey's Midway, and Hook 'Em Hangout this Saturday!
Catch Jade Bird and The Suffers at Longhorn City Limits!
The Forty Acres is the spot to be in the Live Music Capital of the World as we've got two headliners in store for you this Saturday as Jade Bird takes the stage at 3:30 p.m. followed by The Suffers at 5 p.m. Get to the LBJ Lawn early at 3 p.m. and enjoy Stubb's BBQ as well as craft cocktails from Deep Eddy Vodka at the Deep Eddy Lounge.
After the game, head back to LCL and enjoy the final silent disco of the season. Featuring three live DJs, participating fans receive a pair of wireless headphones and the ability to choose between three different channels.

As part of Veterans Recognition Day, we will recognize our many veterans in attendance including:
- Honorary Veteran of the Game Lieutenant Commander Tammie Jo Shults, one of the first female fighter pilots in the US Navy who successfully landed the Boeing 737-700 as captain of Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 after the plane suffered engine failure on April 17, 2018
- Honorary Captain General Robert Neller, 37th Commandant of the US Marine Corps
- The University of Texas Veterans Committee
- All veterans in attendance!
Prior to the game, pilots from the US Marine Corps KC-130J Squadron will flyover Campbell-Williams Field during the national anthem.
At halftime, the Showband of the Southwest will perform their much anticipated Veterans Recognition Day halftime show. The Alumni Band and Alumni Cheer and Pom groups will also be in attendance and performing throughout the game.
In addition, our partners at Texas Lottery will be making a very special presentation to veterans and distributing camo hats at their display on Bevo Blvd.
Huston Street & Cat Osterman get their jerseys retired
Longhorn legends Cat Osterman (Softball '03-'06) and Huston Street (Baseball '02-'04) will have their jerseys retired at the end of the first quarter. Be in your seats to celebrate as #8 and #25 become the latest Longhorns to join an elite group of student-athletes whose numbers are retired at The University of Texas.
Postgame Men's Basketball vs. Gonzaga Watch Party
Following the game, head over to Hook 'Em Hangout in Winship Circle for the official Men's Basketball vs. Gonzaga Watch Party. Big Beertha and select food trucks will be open to cap off your evening to watch the No. 5 ranked Longhorns take on No. 1 Gonzaga!
