Join Women’s Basketball for the inaugural Teddy Bear toss this Saturday!

AUSTIN, Texas— With a mission of spreading the giving spirit and bringing joy to children in need this Holiday season, The Texas Women's Basketball team is excited to announce the addition of an annual Teddy Bear Toss Game!
A teddy bear toss is a promotion where fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears (or other plush toys) to one specific game for the team to collect for a local Austin children's charity during the Holidays. The extra fun of it is that it's not a typical item donation — at halftime, fans will "donate" by throwing all of the plush toys onto the court at once while the team has some fun collecting them.
Details:
- This Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. CT during the game vs. Idaho
- Show up to the game with your teddy bear (or plush toy) in hand
- At halftime, listen for the PA announcer to give you the cue
- All fans will throw at once, aiming for bins that the team will roll on the court
- The team will give these to a local Austin children's charity

Families can also enjoy the FREE Longhorns Kids Court pregame, hosted inside Denton Cooley Pavilion (official practice court) during every weekend home game this season. The Longhorns Kids Court features three Texas-branded inflatables plus additional kid-friendly activities such as appearances from Texas' official costume mascot, Hook 'Em, and more. The Longhorns Kids Court happens from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and fans can walk across to the arena to scan their ticket for tip off afterwards.
