No. 2 Swim and Elendt Shine on Day 3 in Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS – No. 2 Texas swimmer Anna Elendt etched her way into Texas history on Friday on the third day of the Minnesota Invitational at the Jean K Freeman Aquatics Center.
The sophomore began the day with the fastest 100-yard breaststroke event with an NCAA top-10 time at 58.78. Her winning time of 57.90 not only broke the Texas program record but also ranks as the fourth-fastest time in the NCAA this season.
Olivia Bray also had a historic night as the sophomore won the 100-yard backstroke with the No. 2 time in Texas history at 50.93 seconds.
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Bray added a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with her time of 51.07, an NCAA-B qualifying time. Emma Sticklen finished third with a time of 51.10, another NCAA-B qualifying time.
• Evie Pfeifer added a fifth-place finish in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:11.53.
• Junior Kelly Pash boasted a second-place performance in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:44.83, another NCAA-B qualifying time for the Longhorns.
• The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Pash, Sticklen, Julia Cook and Bridget Semenuk registered a third-place finish with a time of 1:29.06.
The final day of the Minnesota Invitational will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, with the prelims set for 10 a.m., CT and the finals at 6 p.m. CT.
