Texas' own Chris Del Conte will be matching donations raised for the DNA Fund
AUSTIN, Texas - Your dollar now goes twice as far as Texas Athletics Director Chris Del Conte has decided to be a matching donor for contributions made to the Developing Neighborhood Athletes (DNA) Fund. Texas SAAC and other Texas student-athletes have been hard at work developing the fund and fundraising during the Fall and Spring semester.
"I was incredibly inspired by Texas student-athletes stepping up to raise money to help our community" said Del Conte. "My wife and I are happy to support the efforts of Texas SAAC and hope the matching donation challenges them to make an even greater impact."
Texas student-athletes were more than excited to hear the news from Del Conte.
"It's incredibly generous of him," said SAAC Community Outreach Coordinator Bennett Inoff. "It means a lot to us that he is supporting us in this way, and it really shows us how much he cares about our community and helping us reach our goals. We are very grateful."
Donations for the DNA Fund are continuing to be collected until the applicants are selected in early May With just over a quarter of the goal reached thus far, Texas student-athletes are asking for your help in contributing to such a special fundraiser.
