No. 4 Volleyball lands five on AVCA All-American teams

Logan Eggleston and Brionne Butler are first team All-Americans, while Jhenna Gabriel is on the third team.
OMAHA, Neb. – No. 4 Texas Volleyball landed five players on the AVCA All-American teams, led by first teamers Logan Eggleston and Brionne Butler. Additionally, Jhenna Gabriel was named to the third team and Skylar Fields and Asjia O'Neal received Honorable Mention All-America accolades.
To date, Texas has produced 54 All-Americans who have earned a total of 98 All-America honors. With Eggleston and Butler on the first team, this is the first time since 2016 for Texas to have two first team All-Americans
Eggleston and Butler are receiving their third All-American recognition, after being named a second team All-American last season and receiving honorable mention as freshmen in 2018.
Eggleston finished second in the Big 12 with 430 kills and 4.57 kills per set, while hitting .322 this season. Butler leads the Big 12 with a .423 hitting percentage and 131 total blocks.
Gabriel, who is receiving her first All-American honor, led the Big 12 with 11.17 assists per set and 1,061 total assists.
Fields is fifth in the Big 12 with a .340 hitting percentage and ranks 10th in the league with 3.18 kills per set. She has played arguably the two best matches of her career to lead Texas to the Final Four, with a career-high 21 kills against Penn State and 18 against Nebraska.
O'Neal is second in the Big 12 with a .412 hitting percentage and ranks sixth with 1.14 blocks per set.
