Foster, Men's Swimming leave SMU Classic with wins and awards

Foster finishes as one of two high-point scorers at SMU Classic.
Dallas, Texas – Carson Foster of the Texas men's swim team left the SMU Classic as one of two men's high point scorers of the meet.
Foster won the 200-yard backstroke with his time of 1:40.90, meeting the B standard and added a win in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:42.68 to close out his individual competition.
The Longhorns began day two's competition with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:26.02 from Foster, Caspar Corbeau, Cole Crane and Daniel Krueger.
Luke Hobson earned his first event win in Dallas with a meet record time of 4:15.88 in the 500-yard freestyle, earning him an NCAA B standard. Corbeau also earned an NCAA B standard time in the 200-yard breast with his time of 1:55.26 to finish second.
Noah Duperre provided yet another spark in diving, winning the 3-meter with a score of 354.45 points.
Krueger later went on to win the 100-yard free with a time of 42.69.
Despite having just nine Longhorns in competition in Dallas, the Longhorns won the 2022 SMU Classic with a score of 348 points, 42 points ahead of Texas A&M.
