No. 2 Men’s Swimming and Diving announces 2023 signing class

The Longhorns have signed eight student-athletes to National Letters of Intent.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Men's Swimming and Diving and head coach Eddie Reese announced the signing of eight student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to the class of 2023.
"We're incredibly excited about our Class of 2023. It's truly a historic group of individuals that are going to leave their mark here on the Forty Acres and contribute to the rich legacy of our program," said associate head coach Wyatt Collins. "The class is a great mix of stroke specialists, versatile IMers, and divers, each of whom has the ability to make an immediate impact here at Texas."
Pierce Brooke | Cedar Park, Texas | Cedar Park High School, Longhorn Aquatics
Placed third on the 1m springboard at the Texas 5A State Championships … named a high school All-American … 2021 USA Diving Junior National Championships semifinalist on the 1m and 3m springboards … Cedar Park High School nominee as 2021 Athlete of the Year in 2021 … has a background in gymnastics background … skill sets include strength, quickness, twisting and ripping … will compete on both springboards and the platform.
Tanner Braunton | Parker, Colo. | Ponderosa High School, Mile High Dive Club
Finalist in the men's synchronized 3m springboard at the 2022 USA Diving Open Championship … quarterfinalist on the 3m springboard at the 2022 USA Diving Open Championship … semifinalist on the 3m springboard at the 2022 USA Diving Junior National Championships … an elite gymnast who began diving a few years ago … ability to make the most difficult dives look easy comes from his strength and gymnastics background … will compete on both springboards and on platform.
George Flanders | Cedar Park, Texas | Cedar Park High School, Nitro Swimming
The No. 13 ranked swimmer in Texas … primarily a butterflyer … a 2022 finalist in the 100 fly (49.21) at the UIL 6A State Championship … two-time finalist at the 2022 NCSA Summer Championships, placing second in the 50 fly and fourth in 100 fly … five-time finalist at the Far Western Short Course Championships.
Nate Germonprez | Omaha, Neb. | Westside High School, Inspire Swim Team
Member of the 2022-23 U.S. National Junior Team (200 IM) … the No. 1 ranked swimmer in Nebraska and No. 3 ranked overall … swims the freestyle and individual medley … two-time champion at the 2022 NSAA Swimming Championships, winning the 100 fly (47.22) and 200 free (1:35.60) … three-time finalist at the 2022 Speedo Junior National Championships placing second in the 200 IM (2:01.44) … three-time gold medalist (100 breast, 200 free, 200 breast) and six-time finalist at the 2022 Speedo Sectionals – Columbia … 2020 NSAA High School State Champion in the 200 IM, runner-up in the 100 free … seven-time champion at the 2019 Midwestern Long Course Championships … three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-America (2020-22).

The No. 26 ranked swimmer in Ontario, Canada … swims the breaststroke … two-time finalist at the 2022 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, placing fifth in the 200 breast (2:15.52) and sixth in the 100 breast (1:03.01) … two-time finalist at the 2022 FHSAA Florida 4A State Championship, finishing second in the 100 breast (56.29) and fifth in the 200 IM (1:51.52).
