• LOOKING TO MAKE (TIE) HISTORY: With a win on Wednesday against No. 2 Gonzaga, the Longhorns would tie a program record for the highest-ranked AP opponent defeated. In home games, Texas has topped the No. 2 team in The AP poll just once before (73-68 win over No. 2 Oklahoma on Feb. 21, 2009).
• PUSH THE TEMPO: Texas has registered a 43-1 advantage in fast-break points during its first two contests. The Longhorns posted a 16-1 margin during the season opener against UTEP and followed with a 27-0 edge in Thursday's win over Houston Christian.
• DUO SEES DOUBLE: Timmy Allen and Dillon Mitchell both recorded double-doubles during Thursday's victory against Houston Christian. Allen posted his first double-double of the season and 15th of his collegiate career with 10 points and 10 rebounds (five offensive) in 17 minutes. Mitchell claimed his first collegiate double-double with 10 points (5-5 FG) and a game-high 12 boards (eight offensive) in 17 minutes.
