Football climbs to No. 18 in College Football Playoff rankings

The Longhorns rose six spots in this week’s rankings.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football moved up six spots to No. 18 in the College Football Playoff rankings following Saturday's victory over Kansas State at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kan. It marks the highest ranking for the Longhorns since claiming the No. 17 spot in the first rankings of 2020. UT also stands at No. 18 in The Associated Press and USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Top 25 polls this week, the highest ranking of the season.
Texas hosts No. 4/4/4 TCU (9-0, 6-0) at Darrell K Royal-Texas Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 12. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
Prior to the game, ESPN's College GameDay will broadcast live from Austin and The University of Texas campus. It marks the second time this season the show will be broadcast from the Forty Acres. It will be the first time the renowned pregame show will have a Longhorn home game as the featured backdrop twice in the same season, and ninth time they'll set up shop in Austin.
The show will air for three hours from 8-11 a.m. CT previewing Texas' Big 12 showdown with TCU at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium (6:30 p.m. CT/ABC). The location and details of the program are being set and will be announced soon.
